Death Guards stora arbete är att sprida Nurgles överflödande gåvor till varje hörn av universum. Biologus Putrifiers spelar en vital roll i denna process då det är de som destillerar och koncentrerar det infekterade slam som Foul Blightspawns producerar. I strid skjuter de ut granater fyllda av de senaste mutationerna av koncentrerat pestvirus i hopp om att deras måltavlor skall bli mysigt infekterade.
