TYRANIDS: HIVE GUARD / TYRANT GUARD

Hive Guard and Tyrant Guard are massive Tyranid defenders created to protect the Hive Fleet’s most vital organisms and structures. Their thick chitin armour and biological adaptations make them exceptionally difficult to destroy on the battlefield.

Hive Guard serve as heavy biological artillery, bonded to powerful symbiotic bio-weapons designed to defend Hive Ships and capillary towers from intruders.

They can be equipped with:

• impaler cannon
• shockcannon

Tyrant Guard instead act as living shields whose sole purpose is to protect a Hive Tyrant. These colossal bioforms throw themselves into incoming fire and continue advancing through damage that would annihilate lesser organisms.

They can be equipped with:

• crushing claws
• bone sword and lash whip
• scything talons

The kit includes enough parts to equip the entire unit identically, as well as battle damaged shoulder armour for Tyrant Guard variants.

On the Battlefield

Hive Guard provide heavy biological fire support while Tyrant Guard serve as elite bodyguards for Tyranid leaders.

They work especially well in Tyranid armies for Warhammer 40K focused on monster bioforms, synaptic support, and durable frontline control.
