Tyrannocyte / Sporocyst – biological Tyranid organisms for invasion, transport, and spore deployment.

Tyrannocytes are living invasion organisms launched from Hive Ships in low orbit to deliver Tyranid swarms directly into the heart of battle. Upon impact, the creature’s grotesque body splits open to unleash the bioforms hidden within.

The massive organism is protected by thick chitin armour and can be equipped with:

  • deathspitters
  • barbed stranglers
  • venom cannons

Its carapace can be modelled open or closed to represent the creature descending onto the battlefield.

The kit can alternatively be built as:

  • Sporocyst
  • Mucolid Spore

The Sporocyst variant acts as a stationary spore-spreading bioform that saturates the battlefield with Tyranid organisms and biological projectiles.

The Tyrannocyte works exceptionally well in Tyranid armies for Warhammer 40K focused on invasion forces, biological transport, and aggressive board control.
