TOIL AND TROUBLE: Witch Coven Witches (3) and Cauldron

Most witches are simple workers of petty cantrips capable of removing warts, afflicting baldness, or the souring of a cow's milk. But there are some witches who thrive on the pain and suffering their dark gifts inflict. One such example is the Blacknettle Coven, malicious weavers of dark magic and deliverers of malevolent omens. The Blacknettle Coven lurks in a dank cave, far from the prying eyes of the local constabulary. There, they conjure and cackle, their only company dark shadows and a collection of skulls rolling and floating about, which they address fondly and by name. They will hex, enfeeble, seek visions, and even grant wishes... but such magic will cost the asker dearly. The witches have amassed an impressive collection of perfidious occult devices. Their most impressive possession is an enchanted walking cauldron. This malignant iron relic glows and bubbles and features prominently in the witches' clairvoyant deviltry; voices from some malevolent force within the cauldron obey the witches' commands and utter dire portents.

The witch Cackelbra stumbled into town and collapsed from exhaustion. When questioned, she was confused and claimed to be a milkmaid by the name of Hedira. She claimed she approached the witches to enhance her beauty in the hopes of catching the eye of Sloam, a local woodcutter. The witches wove a powerful spell amplifying Hedira's beauty, and she fainted. When she awoke, she was in Cackelabra's withered frame. The Blacknettle Coven has plans for Hedira's augmented beauty: the local lord's son has already fallen under her spell... and so has the local lord. The true Hedira is desperate to get her body back from the hags.
