SPACE MARINES: PRIMARIS CHAPLAIN

Space Marines Primaris Chaplain is a spiritual leader in Warhammer 40,000 who serves Space Marines both in battle and in ritual. Chaplains are warrior priests who preserve the traditions of their Chapter and lead their brothers through sacred rites, oaths, and ceremonies.

Their role is as vital beyond the battlefield as it is upon it – they maintain discipline, strengthen morale, and ensure the Chapter’s legacy endures. In combat, they lead with fanatical conviction and are second only to the company Captain in rank.

Armed with an absolver bolt pistol and the sacred crozius arcanum, the Chaplain fights with relentless zeal. His black Mk X power armour, combined with a hooded cassock, chains, skulls, and purity seals, gives him a grim and imposing presence.

His armour is richly adorned with symbolism – a skull-faced helmet and a chestplate shaped like an exposed ribcage serve as stark reminders of mortality. Mounted on his backpack is an iron halo with twelve points, representing the High Lords of Terra.

ON THE BATTLEFIELD

Chaplains act as inspirational leaders and force multipliers in close combat.

They enhance nearby units, making them more resilient and deadly. When paired with melee units, a Chaplain can turn an assault into a decisive breakthrough.
