The shadowy, dingy corners of the world are home to strange beings - some horrifying, some pitiable, and others almost comical. Mongrelfolk embody all three. Centuries of inbreeding have blended human, orc, bugbear, and anything else into malformed parodies that mock the gods. Mongrelfolk are the unwanted and discarded, lamentable beings lurking in the shadows, living on trash and coveting the waste of others.

Rumor has it...
A dark, huddled creature has been seen near the Barrowgate canals. While in the bazaar, the PCs are approached by the misshapen Mongrelfolk, wrapped in rags. She begs them to accompany her into the labyrinthine sewers beneath Barrowgate. Something or someone is preying upon her people. By no coincidence, a circus is in town, and they are eager for more exhibits...
