Trolls are a constant menace in the Caverns of Doom and the Westbarrow Hills. These loathsome creatures stand twice as tall as a human, are endlessly ravenous, and strong enough to tear an armored warrior apart. Cave trolls, hill trolls, and mountain trolls threaten adventurers and travelers alike.

For years, rumors have spread through the taverns of Barrowgate about a fearsome two-headed troll known as Lardgulp that prowls the Caverns of Doom.

Recently, a grievously wounded member of the prestigious Golden Unicorns staggered into the Green Griffin tavern. Half-mad with fever, she spoke of a massive, lumbering two-headed brute that slaughtered her companions while carrying on a conversation with itself.

She returned to Barrowgate with a fortune in jewels and promises to share her wealth with whoever avenges her fallen companions by bringing her the troll’s heads.
