HORUS HERESY: LEGIONES ASTARTES: MKVI TACTICAL SQUAD

Tactical Squads are the backbone of the Legiones Astartes, highly versatile infantry units capable of attacking or defending as needed, assaulting heavily fortified positions, and holding strategic objectives – or simply destroying the enemy – in almost any terrain or situation.

All 18 Legions make extensive use of Tactical Squads in different ways. It is through the fighting power of thousands of such genetically enhanced warriors, armed with deadly bolters and equipped for battle in the harshest war zones, that the Imperium has carved a bloody path across the galaxy during the Great Crusade.

MKVI ‘Corvus’ Power Armour is the most advanced mark of power armour approved for mass production at the time of the Horus Heresy, featuring the iconic “beakie” helmet fitted with enhanced sensor systems. Production continued even as Forge Worlds were torn apart by brutal civil wars, and the armour became widespread in the years following the end of the Heresy.

Tactical Squads serve as a stable and flexible core unit, capable of holding objectives, supporting advances, and delivering reliable firepower. They are equally effective in both offensive and defensive roles, forming the foundation of most armies.

Their strength lies in their adaptability and their ability to operate effectively in any conditions.
