Tactical Squads are the backbone of the Legiones Astartes, highly versatile infantry units capable of attacking or defending as needed, assaulting fortified positions, and holding strategic objectives – or simply destroying the enemy – in almost any terrain or situation.

It is through the strength of thousands of such genetically enhanced warriors, armed with deadly bolters and equipped for battle in the harshest war zones, that the Imperium has carved a bloody path across the galaxy during the Great Crusade.

Mark IV ‘Maximus Armour’ is designed to provide a balanced combination of agility and durability, making use of many advanced technologies rediscovered during the Great Crusade. Its relatively lightweight construction, armoured cabling, and redesigned helm make it highly valued among the Legiones Astartes – in the Age of Darkness, it is perhaps the most common pattern of power armour seen across the galaxy.

Tactical Squads serve as a stable and flexible core unit, capable of holding objectives, supporting advances, and delivering reliable firepower. They are equally effective in both offensive and defensive roles, forming the foundation of most armies.

Their strength lies in their adaptability and their ability to perform effectively in any terrain or combat situation.
