Plague Marines, sworn to serve Nurgle, have foul, rotting bodies that reek of decay. The tenacious mucus that oozes from their boils and wounds corrodes armor and eats away at skin. Despite these seemingly severe handicaps, they are nevertheless feared warriors because their brains have disconnected all sensation from their diseased bodies and also make them immune to the pain of war injuries. Those Plague Marines who excel in battle are given the honor of carrying Nurgle's vile banner into battle.
