These were once Apotecharies whose job it was to heal the wounded and give the last anointing to those who were too ill-tempered. Today they are the very antithesis of this as the mere movement of them produces a horde of viruses and spores. Their weapons and equipment reinforce this, only the foolhardy choose to engage them and soon realize their mistake.
