Sisters Repentia are fallen members of the Adepta Sororitas stripped of their armour and sent into battle to atone for their sins through bloody close combat. Driven by religious fanaticism, they hurl themselves at the enemy wielding massive penitent eviscerators, determined to reclaim their honour through violence and martyrdom.

The squads are led by a Repentia Superior, whose neural whips drive the penitents onward through the chaos of battle.
